This isn't the best drawing that you would see but I tryed my best. My idea was to make the outside of the stadium look like a soccer ball using the same bars that were used for the birds nest. And also one of my other ideas is to have a sliding roof that will look like the olympic rings. The purpose of the sliding roof is to close the stadium when it rains or when they are heavy winds, knowing that it rains so much in England.

  2. Nice sketches. The Olympic Rings are such a strong symbol. I would be curious to find out what the rings exactly they represent. Maybe if you dig a little deeper you may discover something unique about the design that conceptually you can apply to other aspects of your design.
    At first glance a retractble roof seems necessary. You may want research what month of the year the Olympics is going to take place and what historically been the climate condition during time. Amount of sunny days and amount of precipitation.
